The DMT Viewer is a control-room tool used to view trends, histograms, etc. produced by DMT monitor programs. DMT Viewer is also included in the LIGOtools 'dtt' package, and you can use it remotely to look at the DMT monitor information at the sites.

Instructions

First, set the DMTNAMESERVER environment variable to 'sand.ligo-wa.caltech.edu' if you want to look at information from Hanford, or to 'delaronde.ligo-la.caltech.edu' if you want to look at information from Livingston.

Now, there are two different ways to start a DMT Viewer process:

  1. Type 'dmtviewer' on the command line.
  2. Type 'dtt' to create the DTT main menu window, then click on the "DMT Viewer" button.
